So Early
It's 6:45 in the morning, i am never up at this hour, i can count the number of times i've been awake at this time, it usually corresponds with going on a trip, and it's that same case today. My parents are off to houston for a week so i had to wake up at 5:30 to drop them off at the airport.
let's get one thing straight, i am not a morning person. i'll stay up till i can't stay up anymore or i'm finished doing what i'm doing, but i will not wake up unless i absolutely have to under dire circumstances. other than the fact that i have read about this time between 3 and 7am, i've really never experienced it, (late & all-nighter's not included because they happen inside). well i got up at 5:37 to a semi bright house, to the smell of suitcases and freshly pressed clothes, i had to brush my teeth but didn't want to because once i do, that's it, i'm awake till i go to sleep at night, and it was too early to be awake. so i get up and we fumble over some last minute rules and phone numbers and things-to-do, pray, and i load up the car. i stepped outside and it was.... nice. the sun had just risen, or just rose, (i'm not an expert to tell you what i saw) and there was that smell of a new, and clean, where everthing is untouched and virgin to the day...mmmmm.... it was....nice.
i looked out from our deck and it was like a clear photograph, no blemishes, no distortions, pure, and new. i was so impressed. i love the night, everything about it, this morning i just saw was such a contrast to what i like about the night, and yet i loved it more, because of it's innocence, because of it's simple beauty, because it was....nice. i couldn't believe all these years what i missed out on by not being a morning person.
one more thing to add to my "will-do" list: experience a morning
