Compaq Presario 1692

it was probably developed in 1692, it 's so old.
up to this point, it hasn't been my pride and joy to carry around, as it is a hunk-a-lot of computer, and i've been using it basically type up lecture notes and as of 2 weeks ago power-point for kerela fellowship. i went to best buy today and was all excited because i was going to get a wireless internet kit thing so i could get internet connection on campus to use for projects and surfing purposes. i get the kit come back, pick up a windows XP disc from a cousin of a friend and i enter the house ready to put everything together. i also had to buy RAM- i'm still not sure what this is but i've had it explained to me like this: "RAM is like a table, the bigger the table the more stuff you can put on it" and up to this point i had a small table, a 64RAM table, and so i got a bigger table and now i have 190-something.
okay, so i put the RAM in, and it all works fine and then i try the XP disc and it won't work, so i figure i'll do the wireless connection stuff first and turns out the minimum requirement is windows 98SE (second edition for those of the computer illiterate world) and i don't even have that. so i call up the cousin of the friend and ask if i could bring it over and if he could have a look at it, and so i did. the first thing he says when he sees the computer: "whoa"- not a good one, but more like "whoa- i thought these were a myth". at the end of it all i went home less excited about my computer and have decided to dedicate to the work of the Lord- mainly, power point for kerala fellowship- and use it as a notetaking device during the week. so i'm back to square one- but it's okay, because wireless was more a want than a need anyways.
