yesterday
it was immensly foggy yesterday. as i was leaving campus at around 5:30, the fog was so thick i could barely see 5 feet in front of me.
it was a beautiful fog though, the kind were you see just the shadow of the tree outlined against the mist of the fog, street lights, flood lights, and hanging lamps seem to be auras hovering in mid air, and the ground beneath you feels to be there, but you can't see it, so you can't be sure.
as i was walking to the car, i thought about how much this situation reflects the lives of so many people in the world. to them, life is a fog, you don't know where you're going and you can't see where you came from, you only see the world in outlines and shadows, but you can't see things for what they are. things that seem as lights that can guide your way are merely hanging there, they have no source from where they shine, and can only show you the light in itself and what is immediately around it, no matter how bright, or how big, it won't take away the fog, and it won't show you where you want to go and need to be. it all seems like a confused dream because you can't see, and because you have no one to guide you, you rely on yourself to find the way, and when you stop for a moment to gather yourself together, you realize you're lost.
i'm thankful to my Light who never allowed the fog to settle in my life, never allowed me to be lost or confused. He has provided me that guiding light to show me where i am now, and reveal to me where i will be in the future. i never relied on floating balls of light to show me the path, they never seem to offer what i need. instead i look to the One who is the source of light itself, the One who makes a way, not by simply lighting a foggy path, but blowing the fog away, breathing it in, so the next moment i take to gather myself together, everything becomes clear and i know.

wish i could say the same...
one day it'll all be clear, but until then, i'll lean on His grace to carry me through.
and for that, i will definitely be praying for you.
at least you can say someone has parted the fog enough for you to see, imagine the struggle you would have if He wasn't in your life.
hey that's an awesome comparison...never thought of it that way...hmmm
Tyna, all I have to say is your words have inspired me deeply. You can always tell who speaks from thier heart and who doesn't.
