Evening Out etc.
1. went out to dinner at Milestones with FOU & Co. last night. it was so much fun. why is it so rare that we all get together at one time in one place? it was worth it. so many laughs- at one point we had the whole restaurant staring at us- we were the only birthday group actually having fun. had great service, good food, and the best company.
as we drove into the heart of downtown vancouver my heart leaped and i lost feeling in my knees, i was in love, the city is so beautiful at night i could stand in the middle of it and never want to leave.
on the way back i was thinking about the day when we could go out at 9:30 and not have to be home by 10. when FOU & Co. can call each other up at 10 and say- "you wanna do something?". ahh the freedom. i had to make an agreement with my parents, leave at 6 to be back by 10:30- yeah okay it's kinda reasonable, but puh-lease i never go out, i never really want to go out, and when i do i'd like to stay out a bit longer- no point arguing though, living under their house, eating their food, and studying with their money. i would have liked to go to a lounge, but didn't want to get anything, just wanted to sit on plush couches.
okay FOU i've given in, one day we shall go to a club, a nice one, with good music, and good service, nothing ugly- can't we just go to a jazz club??
i had a lot of fun... now i'm just looking forward to that time that comes with freedom.
2. when asked what Corleone i would be, i had to answer Sonny, i would have liked to say Micheal, but that is way to revered and respected a position to even aspire to. besides, i have Sonny's anger, and if some sleeze was beating up on my little sister- yeah i'd beat him on the street with a trash can lid and anything else i could find. but i'd like to think i have Tom's patience and logical reasoning talent- but he's not REALLY a Corleone. As for Don Vito, no one can be the Don or even think of themselves close to his status.
3. UBC's annual Model UN begins this week- i'm a part of the delegation from the Republic of Ghana. i'm so excited, to topic is "HAITI". call me a poli sci geek, but i'm looking forward to all the discussions about peacekeeping, installing peaceful and effective government, development, sustainability, economic growth, and productivity. oooh i'm blushing just thinking about it.

michael
not a cliche
but because
Don Corleone knew
he knew michael was great
before he even did anything
sunny has the anger
tom has the logic
but
michael has the ruthless patience
to not be hasty
and to plan
quietly
and ...
then strike
and still quietly
he's understated and brilliant.

(shocked face) ur going clubbibg?????????
lol don't let the little ones know that....they mite take up on ur example...hehe
i didn't say he was cliche, i said i respect him to much to chose to be him. i and no one for that matter, could be Micheal Corleone, except for Micheal Corleone.
our only options: gaze in wonder that is manifest in the Corleone mind or rot in envy of what we shall never become.
simi: uuum no i'm not going clubbing, i'm going to A club, a trendy, upscale, silent-cover, no sleeze, plushy couches, and good music- preferably jazz or the better half of R&B, where to dance you need a date, and to get in you need to be dressed.
okay i know you're imagining a bunch of people wearing tennis gear weilding tennis rackets and golf clubs with sweaters tied around their necks. i'd rather be there than a tawdry club of defilement and debauchery. (you can tell the kids i said this)
oh wait, sorry navi, the way you write a word per line i thought you said that i said micheal was a cliche answer- can't we just write like normal people and make sense?
but
this is my
signature
i have to
write like this
it's just what
happens
maybe,
it'll be easier
if i use punctuation.
